Pricing has gone up and a three course meal will set you back at least CHF60. I wish they would adopt a daily lunch menu at lunch prices, which would encourage more lunchtime turnover and help with faster midday service. Still recommended if you're looking for an out-of-town quiet spot with lots of parking and with sophisticated old-fashioned Swiss charm Update: February 2024: We still love going to Bauernhof. The service and food continue to be great. We've come to know Reto, who has served us a number of times and who has made our visits to Bauernhof a pleasure. We also enjoy that the restaurant has ample parking space. Its also very close to a bus-stop on the Baar/Zug transport route. Its open on Sundays until late. Menu highlights include, the parmesan crusted lamb fillet, the gorgonzola gordon bleu, and their apple cake. Highly recommended! November 2023: We love this authentic Swiss restaurant. Great menu. The pan fried lamb fillet is fantastic. The restaurant offers an upmarket experience, set in a traditional refurbished farm building. Spacious layout. Great for a quick lunch, and equally good for a romantic dinner of family event. Lots of parking. Highly recommended

We came as a group o... read more Excellent food in a very cozy farm. Above all, the wooden ceilings and floors in the farmhouse style contribute to the feeling of coziness. We came as a group of 10 very international guests and were given a beautifully set table (see picture). The staff was very courteous and efficient. The reservation process was uncomplicated and flexible.
