Located in an hotel, it is a popular site for locals. The food is excellent with interesting and tasty twists on old favourites. It can really pay to be a bit adventuresome. The emphasis is on fresh, locally sourced ingredients which really make a difference. Service is attentive, knowledgeable and available in English for non-German speakers. There is a good choice of wines including some fine local ones. View all feedback.
The restaurant is alright. The furniture is a getting old but the food is alright. They serve some speciality and fish from Zug's lake as well as some vegetarian meals.
Great food and friendly service. For the area prices are reasonable and the menu is available in English. Although this restaurant is know for its seafood, there is also a good variation on offer.
I had dinner at Zeno's Spezialitäten, which is in the same building as the Hotel Zugertor next door. Food was most excellent, my cordon bleu with asparagus was the best I've had in a very long time. Waitstaff was smiling and efficient. The decoration of the interior could be a bit more cheerful.
A very nice place to eat lunch or business lunch. You can choose from four daily offers and 3 weekly specials. I suggest you take the second or third menu items. They are often the best offer for the money. The joker is "Schnitzel Pommes" (cutlet & chips), a very good choice if you do not mind the calories.I was working in the area and the restaurant was one of my two standard lunch places (the other one being the Japanese Aki). The team with the cook and his wife (being the owners) is very friendly and service is fast.
Best fish restaurant in Zug, well I think so anyway the Zug-sanguine depending on the catch is very nice. Well worth giving this place ago. Lovely menue
