We visited this restaurant whilst staying close by. We fount the area very expensive, but thought this place was very good value for money. We all chose from the fixed price menu. We were given some delicious olives and bread whilst waiting for the main course. We had all chosen langoustine stuffed ravioli, which was served in a really lovely sauce. We had selected different desserts, but they were all first class and we could choose either a glass of wine or a coffee, which was included in the price. The cost was 21 euros per person and to finish off the meal, we were given a complimentary liqueur. The waitress was charming and helpful. Highly recommended.

Went for an evening meal on the recommendation of our hotel staff. Very nice location and free parking. Very attentive staff and a good menu. All the food was very good. Fish soup was excellent. However the place lacked atmosphere. Additionally we thought the price of the fish was very high for what was a small portion. We had better meals for lower prices at other restaurants on our holiday.

Well, it’s the only restaurant in Pinarello with white clothes on the table. The prices are high. The service is ok. But the food unfortunately is nothing special especially for this price level). We gave this place a second chance, the service was even better but all the rest no comments.

I cannot remember ever writing a negative review of a restaurant, Normally, if I have a bad experience, I keep quiet and move on. However our experience at Le Roux last week fell so short of what we expected that I feel compelled to comment. Pretentious seems the kindest word to describe it. The waiters make a big show of flourishing a platter of raw fish under customers ' noses pre-ordering, just in case they don 't know what unfilleted fish looks like, one presumes. After that, in our case, the service deteriorated until it was practically non-existent. Only two glasses of wine were poured for our party of seven and then we were left to fend for ourselves. The first course, though it took eons to arrive was quite acceptable. But the second course was served on stone cold plates, and the grilled fish, resting on what might have been a tasty artichoke puree, had obviously stayed too long in the service area before being carried to us. It would be generous to call it luke-warm. The desserts, lauded fulsomely as 'freshly cooked on the premises ' were just as disappointing. The 'cafe gourmand ' for three of our party arrived without the coffee, which was served as an afterthought five minutes later. My profiteroles were of the consistency of Yorkshire puddings, which a filling of ice-cream rather than cream, which a warm chocolate sauce did little to improve. My impression, shared by the others who had them included in their cafe gourmand trio, was that the profiteroles had been frozen and imperfectly defrosted. All in all, not a good way to celebrate a completion of the GR20.
