This was my second time in Zermatt and the... read more We had lunch at Bergrestaurant Blatten last summer. I made a reservation online for our party of 13 well in advance. This was my second time in Zermatt and the first time for the other two families. Our family had stopped by for drinks outside a couple years prior. I’ve been wanting to come back for a meal and am glad we were able to experience it with our friends. We hiked the Gorner Gorge from where we were staying in town and were ready for lunch when we arrived at the restaurant. The setting is beautiful and unreal. Service was excellent and we enjoyed our selections. Definitely made great memories with our friends in Blatten.

Restaurant located on track n.50 going down from Furi to Zermatt. Very very friendly welcome, smiling people. We ate inside, the place is small but not cramped.... read more Restaurant located on track n.50 going down from Furi to Zermatt. Very very friendly welcome, smiling people. We ate inside, the place is small but not cramped. It's still pleasant to eat there, especially since the atmosphere is adorable and even romantic with a small candle on the table for a midday meal. The cheese mountain dishes were a treat and I recommend the apple fritters for dessert!

Gorgeous scenery, great food and wonderful service. Loved it.
