the best meal we had in 2022, downstairs. her vegan degustation is absolutely amazing large dishes with a full of taste, very well presented, with attentive staff and fantastic wines to couple. they can tell the skill of the chef and cook by the good simple dishes; fall in point, her cashew mother with her sourdough bread. such minimalist, ordinary eating, but was made exquisite. the atmosphere is eclectic, luxurious... What User doesn't like about Eleonore's Chateau YERING:
The venue is very much a fine dining establishment and furnished accordingly , however unfortunately for Chateau Yering that's where it all stops. The tasting menu isn't value for money and so far back from others I have experienced its lonely. No signature dish and none that I would recommend to a colleague, and basically no better than a pub bistro, very disappointing indeed. Has definitely deuterated over the year... View all feedback.
Terrible service! told us that they did not reset the tables once they were used, so we could not sit at the empty table by windows and had to sit in the middle of the room. we wanted to share a three-time meal, as we were very full of a huge lunch in the yering station, but they told us we couldn't share. eat that we lack taste.
Stayed in-house and was excited to eat here. Having held a hat for some time expected to have a great time. Sadly my experience was below par. Food was just ok. Duck entree poor. Lamb main good but disappointing. Creme brûlée average. Wine list poor with a strange lean towards Chardonnay and not a lot else. Most of the staff were new and had no clue. Saving grace was the manager (possibly sommelier) who had great knowledge of the list and provided some great alternatives. She was the reason to be there. So much potential but lost along the way.
Mr D’s birthday means a celebration was in order and we didn’t want to go anyway too far so after a few googles, I decided on Eleonore’s Restaurant at Yering Chateau. Unfortunately, this restaurant is opened at night so we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful scenery that Yering had to offer (just means that we’ll just have to come back again! . Anywho, we made a booking on a Sunday night at 6:30PM and there weren’t a lot of people there. The decor is very old Victorian and it was a bit dull and dreary but had a lot of warmth. The staff were so friendly and showed us to our seat.
Recently dined here for a romantic getaway. Food was lovely. Everything cooked to perfection. But the serving staff need to improve their game. Our water wasn't filled up regularly and staff not knowledgable about the ingredients. They need to learn to pour wine properly. Maybe there has been a change in management. It was a pretty quiet night so maybe I was expecting too much. However the food here is what brings us back.
Lovely weekend away at Chateau Yering courtesy of husband's work for all the late nights he does (loving the reciprocal partner perks of his job! . Part of our package included dinner at Elenore's, the Chateau's dining room. We both had the spanner crab gazpacho for entree, he had the whiting for main, while I had the wagyu, and for dessert we shared both the chocolate delice and the citrus panna cotta. Food was Devine! Atmosphere was very prim and proper (the place is decked out like it's the 1890's but the service was warm and friendly. Would go back for another weekend away. Neetz88
