The Mug House, a charming pub nestled beside a picturesque church, has garnered mixed reviews. While many patrons appreciate the welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and scenic views of the Malvern Hills, others have noted a decline in service and ambiance over the past few years. Despite complaints about an impolite bartender and early last orders, visitors still enjoy the fresh, simple menu and delightful outdoor spaces. With its character and potential for memorable dining experiences, the Mug House stands as a beloved local gem, though concerns about its future linger among some longtime customers.

I absolutely love this place and the people here. They serve a great pint at a reasonable price. It can get quite busy in the summer, which just goes to show how popular it is. Some areas are a bit worn, like the men's restroom outside, but that just adds to its charm. It's lovely to see the church in full bloom on a sunny day, especially with the beautiful tree blossoms in the early part of the season. View all feedback.
What scorpioladyuk dislikes about The Mug House:
The young man working behind the bar when he served us was quite impolite. When my husband went up for more drinks, the same young man had gathered glasses and placed them all in front of the hatch where my husband was being served. Even the bartender called him rude and apologized on his behalf. View all feedback.
Great watering hole after a good walk. Small but adequate menu and all very tasty. Good beer and atmosphere and as long as sunny fabulous outside seating.
Wonderful charming pub with friendly staff. Really enjoyed the afternoon with a brilliant pint and some nice food. The pub is full of character and the most beautiful view of the country side from the family room. Looking forward to returning again.
