This place has had mixed reviews for some time, however I have not been for well over a year and on arrival I was please to see a refurbished restaurant,
I went to this restaurant with friends and I am still surprised at how they have any customers! The first problem was with our drink order, it got very confusing. How does a bottle of rose and 4 glasses get mistaken for only 3 glasses (already poured with no sign of the bottle)? And what about the other person in our group?
I want to express my gratitude to everyone at Mela Cafe for an amazing evening. A group of around 20 of us dined there last night and it was outstanding. I made a reservation a few weeks in advance, which was easy to do, and they were very accommodating. The service and food were excellent. Despite our large group, all the dishes came out together and were piping hot. The food was incredibly tasty and the menu offered a great variety. I highly recommend trying their peshwari naan, it was the best I've ever had with a delicious drizzle of honey. Thank you again to everyone at Mela Cafe for a wonderful dining experience.
The sauce was half full, the nan breads were burnt and the chicken was chewy.
Flavour of Curry was nice but, chicken was hard/tough to chew, naan was not the best and the poppadoms were stale and soft. Would not order from again unfortunately.
