What sixspeed doesn't like about Jolly Farmer:
Stopped here for lunch with friends. This is a popular country pub with plenty of seating inside and a large garden at the rear. I was attracted by the two course Thai themed lunch menu at 14.95. the chicken satay was OK, but the beef massaman curry was almost inedible- tough (undercooked? strips of beef and vegetables in a tasty sauce and plentiful rice. The Thai food at this restaurant was a fantastic deal, mouthwatering, and everyone enjoyed their meal. The staff and manager were delightful and welcoming. If they could improve their service to ensure that each person receives the correct dish and bill in a timely manner, this place would easily earn a five-star rating.
We had a family gathering of 22. Venue is lovely, food was excellent as was the service. Beautiful garden area, large play area for children, no climbing frames but they weren't missed. Take a ball they enjoyed playing tag and football with other children . Well worth the visit.
We had an early dinner in the lovely September sunshine. We all ordered different dishes, mostly from the Thai menu. The service was excellent, with all our specific orders remembered. Highly recommended.
Friendly staff and good food. Extensive and good outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. Choice of western/pub and Thai food. Reasonably priced. Fog friendly
Amazing Thai cuisine with fantastic service and an inviting atmosphere. Reminiscent of The Bull. I wish they offered a quiz night like The Bull used to have. There aren't many good quiz nights in the area now, so it would be a welcome addition. Highly recommended.
