Firehouse Subs Metro North Retail Center

The food was great as it is always, but the customer service is terrible at this point. The old lady behind the counter complained about 4 hours and overwhelmed, the store was empty except two other people. Another thing was complaining about the Dash Orders door constantly coming and that they locked the door so that they could not get in the time when I was eating, only one person came to pick up an order, this was 10 minutes before my departure and the man was waiting for his sandwich to be made. Right.

I am visiting from out of town so i may have different expectations of what is customer service. I came into the restaurant around 108 pm on a Weds. on my break . When i arrived the store was clean and there were about 3 people (customers in the store). The two employees a guy making the sandwich with glasses and an elderly woman who was working the register. They were arguing and as i come to make my order she didnt greet me and said swipe your card after i ordered my food. She then basically threw my cup at me. I said im not sure why you are being rude to me. she stated we are very busy . I said there are like 3 people here . She said well we have alot of online orders as well. and walked away. Needless to say 30 mins later my food was made and after i watched her smile at everyone else and tell them sorry for the wait. Once my order came up i said thank you and was not told sorry for the wait or thank you. By far for my experience it was a bad one. Going to also contact corporate as well.

Manager at this store is incredible, she goes out of her way all the time, either on the phone or in person, she has the patients of a saint, and it absolutely shows in the quality of her work and the high standard in which she keeps her shop. Everything going out the door is always to perfection. I actually thought she owned the branch. Her son is equally dedicated. Very Hard workers, especially during the pandemic. Credit is due when your that dedicated and there is shortage of workers everywhere. I know when i order for my family no matter how busy it gets, im bringing home the best subs ever made

Ordered 2 subs roast beef and Turkey and 2 salads. I love their salads but in this case I threw them both out. It was so unattractive and tasted like old ingredients. I drove all the way in traffic from Dorchester just to be disappointed. I knew that it was going to be a problem when I asked for extra vegetables on the side which has never been a problem in other firehouse stores but this time I was told that it would be extra since asking for extra vegetables is the same as asking for extra meat. Which I have always done. Ohhhh no. Onions and cucumbers are not the same as meat but ok. Will not go back to this location. On another note I was told by my family that both subs were excellent.

I used to have great sandwiches there but it is hit or miss (I guess depending on who makes your sandwich! . The last few times I went there it was more miss than hit. I once found hair on my sandwich, and last time I went my bag was all dripping and found out whoever made this order found a way to put steak outside of the bread. Needless to say that ruined my appetite and I threw it all away!
