I ordered a sandwich on pretzel bread and my fiancé got a burger. We also ordered the seafood appetizer and everything was great. Waitstaff was friendly and said their cod was delivered fresh daily. My fiancé also tried the cod tongues, but didn't care for the texture. Apparently there is a meaty part and a "jelly" part on the bottom.
Had a couple of dinners here and both were very good. Pleasant waitress. Would recommend the sea food.
Had a Cod tongues appetizerIt was slightly greasyNot sure if it is the meat or the way it was prepared Also had a Mussels appetizer.
Great place for fish and chips, they claim to have the best fish and chips in the world. A bold statement but they are good, big chunks of fish, nicely battered and fried to a nice crispy crunch. Big portions and prompt service. They open at noon and offer a good variety of fish, shrimp and seafood meals as well as some chicken dishes and salads. Prices are very reasonable and good value.
Great spot we found right after boat tour and a quick stop at Witless Bay Beach recommended by a local we talked to. Ask about specials we overhead someone mention fresh mussels that were not on the menu they were amazing! Fish and chips and cod bites were great too! One of the few rural seafood places we found without batter on scallops and shrimp , which we appreciated. The cod on the Captain's plate were not battered deep fried either though and we found not quite as good as the deep fried cod. Overall enjoyed and would eat here again!
