I absolutely adore independent pubs that stay true to their roots. The beer is fantastic and the homemade food is delicious and reasonably priced. It's no surprise that by 12:30 on a Saturday lunchtime, nearly every table is taken. Keep up the great work and high standards! View all feedback.
What reginald58 doesn't like about Flowerpots Brewery:
Really disappointed, after eating here before and promoting this pub to many people, it's like unbelievable waited forever, and I am the most patient person but after nearly 2 hours the food came out and my steak was inedible, very disappointed, even though they didn't charge for the five mains it didn't change the fact I was very hungry so had to go to another local pub to eat which was Very nice, its such a shame as... This is a lovely place with character and charm. The service was really good and it is nice to have proper, unique home-made food, rather than conveyer belt food (like The Harvester and Beefeater). I am hoping to return within the next month with the friends who recommended this restaurant in the first place.
Sunday lunch, excellent food, tender hand carved roast beef, with all the trimmings. As good as I have had anywhere in UK, and very generous portions. Home brewed ale, very good, and friendly staff, and Simon the “Guvnor”
Great location great locally brewed beer and good friendly service, but awful food. Ham, egg chips, can't go wrong? You can when wet prepacked ham is served with frozen chips. I'm afraid this wasn't an off day as my friends had been there last year with similar results . However if you want a lovely pint on a balmy sunny evening you probably can't find a better pub.
Absolutely love the flower pots, we come here throughout the year and it never disappoints. This trip was for Mother’s Day and it was fantastic.
Yes, I judged this book by its cover. After many drives past to its local competition I failed to see beyond the street front. What got me? The name, the drive entrance, who knows? Finally through word of mouth, we ventured to The Potts. Firstly, this long standing Brewery Pub has grounds to support hundreds not only for events, but also local foodie nights. The bar is racked galore with their seasonal beers. One meal and I was hooked. This clever Team have nailed a weekly rotation of pub grub hits, with a mixed Team of upcoming advanced Chefs, as well as long standing recognised pastry “Chief that pump out dishes as fresh as their 5.30pm Friday printed menus yep nice touch guys. I don 't know that we would call the acting front of house 'a front of house ', he remembers every single face that moves through this establishment, like a business owner but there is a twist, he welcomes all feedback, insights and recommendations to keep his experts on their toes. You call out anything, they will literally flip a dish and make it top notch week on week. Running staff are very clued up, they are fast, efficient, know the menu and most importantly speak up and take interest. The event space is a wedding venue hit, totally gorgeous and private. This 'little from the street front ' has 3 car parks and it 's no surprise because 'they are full people, they are full! ' Offering 3 bars, 4 dining areas indoors, a huge event space and lots of outdoor benches, this is an all year round favourite and the prices and vibe has kept me coming back.
