6 wonderful military museums in close proximity of one another. I visited the AGC museum, the Rifles and Gurkha museums. In particular, I enjoyed the Gurkha museum that has lot's of historical information about various battles fought, tribes, caste system and a variety of relics from times gone by, plus a gift shop at the end. One way system in place with all museums. Disabled parking available but for non disabled,... View all feedback.
What Lucas Raymond dislikes about Cafe Peninsula:
I stumbled upon this restaurant in Winchester, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the garden at the back is a hidden gem I didn’t expect to find. In relation to the actual museum, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but the place is surprisingly spacious, even in the exhibitions that seem small from the outside. (I particularly enjoyed the Horsepower exhibition.) It was a very informative experience... View all feedback.
Amazing military museums! You can purchase a combined admission ticket for £11 as of June 2022. We enjoyed all the museums, especially the massive diorama of the Battle of Waterloo and the impressive history of the Gurkhas! Plan to spend at least 2 hours to explore everything. There’s a small café in the first museum near the entrance that I highly recommend!
