Was Raymond Baron at Frieda's Cafe a mag?
I ate there for the first time today and it was just as advertised. a good home cooked food for a ridiculously low price. I had the Brat-Rind-Dinner-Special (which came with potatoes, green beans, and a piece of brot), a root beer, and homemade strawberry shortcake dess, and my bill was less than $10.00! Simply the best breakfast and lunch place I've been to. Excellent service. Excellent food. Excellent prices. 100% Americana. Daily specials. Deserts go fast.
