I am visiting from the US and staying nearby. I decided to come here for dinner and a drink and was very pleased with my experience. What David B doesn't like about Woolpack Inn:
This restaurant caters more to drinkers than diners. The management prioritized maximizing revenue by creating a large space without much atmosphere to accommodate more diners. This detracts from the once fine ambiance the restaurant had. The food, however, is excellent. Don't expect fancy haute cuisine, but well-thought-out options that are tasty. View all feedback.

There are limited options for vegans, but they do offer a spicy black bean burger, salads, and a side of chips. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff here - the barmaid was even singing "Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee" along with a customer while I was writing this review. They have a full bar with more than just pints available.
