A varied group of friends and family gathered one evening to celebrate old friendships across several generations and nationalities. We had a delightful meal at this restaurant and enjoyed moules (mussels) , hamburgers for children, lobster burgers, plenty of fries and good Canadian beer, The...waitstaff and ambiance suited us to a T , The location was easily accessible by metro as well as by car. What Kelsi Hoppe doesn't like about Le Gladstone:
we went to an early dinner, because the kitchen of the place we really wanted was not yet open. the place has a beautiful atmosphere. we ordered the ziegenkäseburger with fritten. the pommes were good, the burger was. chic, but not enough to bring me back there. we also ordered the bavette. the taste was there, but the part was ridiculously small for the price. Conclusion: good location, more pleasant space, overpric... View all feedback.

I recently visited gladstone on a Tuesday evening with members of my summer hockey league. Our league organizer had communicated before our visit with the restaurant that we would arrive at 9. in reality I showed with 7 players at 8:45....We had two tables for 8 on the terrace outside. the restaurant was quite quiet, so I thought it would be easy for the waiting staff to get through drinks orders, apetizer for those who wanted to partake, and eating service in reasonable time. young had mistaken me. I ordered my beer at 8:55. it occurred at 9:15 o'clock. I ordered to share afteros for the table that arrived 25 minutes later. So we are 55 minutes in our visit and start a starter. my veggie burger showed up with cool, carton-like sweet potatoes around 10:10 medium warm. the sweet potatoes were definitely not worth the upgrade of $3,50. my roommate, who was the last person to come, received his meal before all other guests on the table. I had previously disappointing experiences in this restaurant, but did not review the restaurant. this time I feel guilty that I owe it to colleagues to share my experience and let them know what to expect: poor service with expensive food served cold. I will not come back.
That was my 4th visit to gladstone. close to our office in Alexis nihon is so easy for lunch and dinner. eating is always ok bland but safe. preparation is ok, but a quantity of food appears processed and not freshly cooked. hamburger are inspiring. salat was fresh, cab sav wein was great, server was good, but not top notch. not on my list.
This was our first night in Montreal, and we were eager to try this restaurant. Unfortunately We were not too impressed. We were there at dinner time, but the place was almost empty, and stayed that way until we left. Just a few other customers....My hubby loves Prime Rib, and though it was extremely high priced $75 for two) he thought he would try it. They told us it would take half an hour to make. We thought that rather odd, since Prime Rib was simply a slice off of a big Prime Rib roast. We ordered poutine to see what true Montreal Poutine was like, and were disappointed with that, we have had better at home sorry). I ordered a salmon Lobster Burger because it looked interesting and nothing else on the menu appealed to me. When we finally got our meal, my hubby was disappointed in his Prime Rob it had been cut into strips and somehow broiled or fried, or something. And the amount they got for two is what he normally would have gotten for one. My burger was good, but would have been much better without the giant bun, which I ended up removing. All in all, we will not be returning.
Good food, good atmosphere, very nice but inexperienced waitress made an error explaining “happy hour” which resulted in an extra $5 charge. Manager became involved and his dismissive attitude resulted in a very fine altercation. What ever happened to “the client is always right”?
