Just had Jinya ramen for the first time before a premiere at the Hollywood Chinese Theater and I thoroughly enjoyed the warm savory broth, the piece of cooked and floating pork, the whole boiled egg, the evenly cooked thin ramen noodles, all the fresh jalapeño and garlic add on spices on a cold weather day with the only other alternative at the awful Hollywood Highland Center being the Johnnie Rocket's, this Jinya Ra... What Lisa W doesn't like about Jinya Ramen Express:
My son and I walked in the restaurant at 8:31 as the stated closing time is 9:00. The gentleman stated that they closed at 8:30 and refused to serve us. All of the condiments for the ramen was still on the counter. Nothing had been broken down. I asked again for them to please serve us and they again said no and that they had closed. It was obvious that this was made up on the spot. For management this occurred on We... View all feedback.
The Ramen was good service was good. I would go again and try more things.Food: 4/5
I had a young gentleman serve me the smallest portions of toppings 3 pieces of grilled chicke and 5 green beans, literally on top of a big bowl of noodles. It is absolutely absurd to be forced to tip in advance of service. When I asked for another tiny amount of green beans because I only have 5 in my bowl and he said no. Over $40 of food for 2 broth bowls with a 15% tip minimum suggested. Absurd.

After I visited, I couldn't stop thinking of the ramen I had for a few days! It was that good!! It doesn't look that filling at first glance, but you will definitely leave on a full stomach after. Every bite was packed with flavor, and I wish I could've had more. The broth is amazing and what makes a delicious ramen. The service was also quick and friendly. I cannot wait for the day I return to Jinya!
If it weren 't for others posting pictures of El Capitan from the outdoor seating, I never would 've found this damn place. I wandered maybe 2 full laps around the mall before I found the right eatery spot. The signs here are not helpful and there is no directory except for the high end restaurants. I found this fire escape right next to Jinya that provides better directions (see picture). There was no line. They give vouchers to validate parking if you ask for it. Food is good. The view was nice. It feels very fast food compared to other Jinya locations, likely because of the express so don 't expect indoor seating or service. Leave tray and trash at tables and someone will collect but be mindful of things blowing away from the wind.Parking: Enter through cross street: Highland Ave
