All the necessary anti-Covid pr... read more We enjoyed several meals here on our recent visit to Devon. As usual, they were delicious and the inn welcoming and comfortable. All the necessary anti-Covid precautions are in place but unobtrusive. This is a very special place with a long history, and for the twenty or so years we have been coming here it has been a delight. We are sure it will remain so for centuries to come! The Royal Inn scallops are a particular highlight, and my venison in a chocolate and chilli sauce was superb. The meat simply melted in the mouth. There is an excellent selection of drinks and the beer is very well-kept. The Royal Inn is the very best of British pubs!

It's getting those narrow lanes down in a seemingly quiet country, but where do all these people come from? Book, it's not coming! Very good food and a pleasant atmosphere. You need a car (or a friend with one) to get here. You won't be disappointed.

It's... read more We ate there every night (again) on our recent visit to Beera Farm. We love this place and all location, architecture and furniture, staff, food and drink! It's like going home. Once again, the scallops (which I have lived in three nights) were excellent, as well as everything else. The Grumpy Pizarre 's Cellar is a great addition to the experience!
