The restaurant at Endsleigh offers a mixed experience, with beautiful grounds and views but disappointing afternoon tea and cream tea. However, the staff are accommodating and the food during lunch gets high praise, especially when enjoyed on the terrace. Guests appreciate the option of self-guided tours before indulging in delicious tea and scones. Overall, a visit to Endsleigh is described as a pleasant experience, with unique touches like meeting the head gardener and the choice between modern crockery or classic plates for afternoon tea. The food is well-presented and flavorsome, making it a worthwhile visit.

Was Tremanon at Endsleigh a mag?
Having eaten at the Tresanton a number of times and being in the area I decided with friends to have lunch here and see the gardens. Everything was perfect in fact better than perfect, the greeting upon arrival, a drink in the garden followed by the most delicious lunch. A big thank you to all the team. Well worth a visit…… we will be back very soon. View all feedback.

What StreetwiseSmart dislikes about Endsleigh:
I booked afternoon tea for myself and a friend, but was disappointed that it was only available starting at 3:00pm. The time window was quite narrow and late in the day. Our afternoon tea included 4 finger sandwiches, 3 cakes, and two small scones each. View all feedback.

We ate outside on a particularly sunny day. Obliging staff moved our table into shade without a quibble. The food was beautifully presented and the flavours were exceptional.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The day we arrived we were upgraded to a suite which was bigger than most flats. We had our dog with us and everything is set up beautifully. We had breakfast with our dog in a dining area which overlooked the gardens, all 108 acres of them which are stunning. We went for an hours walk around them and let our dog off lead which was lovely. Food and service excellent. Everywhere spotlessly clean. We will definitely go back.

The food was absolutely delicious and good value. The service was excellent but overall bit on the stiff and starchy side which when the place is small and supposed to have a country house feel it. It led to a slightly restrained atmosphere. Does that come from the staff themselves or from the top? We went because we were staying nearby and we were curious to see inside the former 'cottage ' of the Duke of Bedford. Please do something about the hall it has a forbidding atmosphere to it which I don 't think it would have had originally when the place was a family holiday home (or even as a fishing club before the Polizzis came to its rescue). Paint the hall bright orange or something. It 's not a good welcome to the place and sets the wrong tone. No one wants to walk on eggshells in a country house hotel. It 's a stunning place with a wonderful story to tell. It needs to loosen its corset!

Came for a walk around the gardens. Katie on reception was delightful and Jade our waitress makes the best mocha I've had in a very long time. The gardens are beautiful, the waterfall and Bamboo forest were in particular beautiful

Went here for a special breakfast with the family for my Wife's birthday. Breakfast was lovely and the service was excellent.
