I visited this restaurant on September 25th. The service was very slow in taking my order, as I waited 10 minutes before being greeted and felt like they didn't... read more I visited this restaurant on September 25th. The service was very slow in taking my order, as I waited 10 minutes before being greeted and felt like they didn't really care if I was there or not. After 40 minutes, my order number was called, but it was incomplete. I had to wait an additional 5 minutes for the missing gravy, and had to show my receipt to prove I had ordered it as an extra. When I got home and opened my food, I realized it was the wrong order and some items were missing. I called the restaurant to complain about the terrible service, but was met with the excuse that it was my fault for taking the wrong order. Despite being missing $10 worth of food, as a local resident, this was not the first time I had experienced poor service from this restaurant. It will also be the last, as I believe in the saying "go where the locals go" for better treatment. Unfortunately, this establishment did not meet those standards. Additionally, the type of fish I ordered was always substituted with a different kind. From now on, I will be taking my business elsewhere permanently due to the consistent poor service at this establishment.

More than just a fish and chip shop since pizzas iceacream as well as other food items e.g. Thurs evening parmiganas are available. Friendly staff and lots of local patronage. Good sized serves.

The portions of fish are also very small, so be sure to order double what you think you need. Unfortunately, there aren't many options for takeaway in Port Sorell, so leaving a negative review may not make much of a difference, but I hope this information is helpful.
