This bakery is now called "Rustic on Boulevard" Older blonde lady serving had a pleasant smile and nice manner, but despite being told three times I wanted a half strength skinny cappuccino, ended up with a latte! Didn't taste like it was made with skinny milk either! It got busy while we were having our drinks and she and the younger girl making the drinks both seemed to struggle. We never expected the amount of food that came out. It was served quickly and was very tasty, but even though I can put away a fare amount of food there was no way we where going to eat it all. What a shame. If you are in the area looking for a meal then this is well worth a look, I'm sure you will enjoy.
Very friendly service. We were a group of 7 and our orders were taken quickly with a welcome smile. There was lots of cakes etc. to chose from, my favourite was the Vanilla Slice. The other girls sampled the lemon slice, apple cake and eclairs - all very pleased with their choices. The coffee was definitely first class. The bread and rolls I took home was very fresh & tasty. Well done TEMPT.
Went here earlier this week after a nice walk with my partner great food and drink and friendly staff
Formerly 'Tempt' Bakery - now 'Rustic on Boulevard' I was a bit disappointed with my visit here. Being just after 11am I was after 'brunch' moreso than just something sweet. There were no vegetarian options in the pie/hot pastry selection and, as I didn't want a full 'meal' (they do have some vegetarian dishes) I had to make do with an apple slice and coffee. While the coffee was nice, the apple slice was very dense (more pastry than apple). I noticed that even the cake selections were limited. Mainly cream-filled pastries or donuts or very sweet slices (like caramel slice or jam tarts). There were no fruit buns, or carrot cake or more plainer or healthier options. While the selection on offer might be winners for some people, it's not to my taste. I like cakes/slices that look rustic and taste home made rather than 'commercial'. On the plus side, the service was great and all the staff were very friendly. And Shearwater is a gorgeous coastal town. So all in all it was a bit of a hit and miss. Probably wouldn't rush back.
