The service is attentive, with outstanding drinks before dinner and delicious appetizers like Octopus and Calamari. The main courses were a hit with all diners. The restaurant is a beautiful spot for celebrations, with fast service and knowledgeable staff. Breakfast at the restaurant is recommended, even for non-hotel guests. The atmosphere is elegant with a delightful cocktail menu. Overall, Via Sophia is highly recommended for delicious, well-prepared Italian food with decent portions and exquisite details. A must-visit spot in DC.
This place is one of my favorite in DC. If you are in the city please don’t miss this restaurant. It is an Italian restaurant located in the Hamilton hotel. The food is delicious, perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is wonderful. Beautifully decorated and very elegant. Every detail is exquisite and nice. The quality of the food is really good, very fresh. Very well prepared and decent portions. It is not a typical restaurant where the portion of pasta fits in a spoon, no. I was very satisfied with everything. You can eat inside or outside enjoying the view of the park. Highly recommended. I will come back without a doubt!!! Thank you
A lovely little corner restaurant on Franklin Park in the Hamilton hotel. A large bar and delightful cocktail menu, this place is great for after work drinks. Lunchtime is easy here and food is served quickly and thoughtfully. Menu is mostly elevated Homestyle Italian with classics as well as the contemporary American dish here and there to round out the menu.
Amazing Italian food with good vibes. Wood fired oven is a must try! Pork belly dish made me feel like I am in Michelin star restaurant.
Beautiful and delicious food and atmosphere. Waiters are extremely nice. I called our waiter to tell him to give compliments to the chef for the clam linguine and he got the chef to COME TO OUR TABLE and I told him right there. Was a really nice gesture and I apologize for being so awkward but next time I visit D.C. I'm sure to come back for dinner.
Staying at the hotel I decided to have breakfast at the restaurant. They did an excellent job with the omelets and coffee. I would recommend visiting this place even if you're not staying at the hotel. A beautiful place and a quiet spot to have breakfast when they first open in the morning.
