What Christina Chedid doesn't like about Mama Ayesha's Restaurant:
Marrakesh was the better food and experience, with belly dancers, but that closed. Went there with my Arabic classmates, but it was served family style and you had to dig in with your hands. It was an experience for germophobes. View all feedback. What Christopher Yandell likes about Mama Ayesha's Restaurant:
I visited Mama Ayesha’s for a friend’s birthday and it was a great experience. The food and ambiance were great. Every dish had the perfect amount of seasoning and flavor. We went on a Tuesday night, and there was only one other party dining while we were there. Overall, the experience was great besides our waiter who was a bit rude. Nice inside, quite ornate Wednesday night, not too busy We started with a bottle of white wine, which was fine.
I believe everyone who posts reviews on this site comes across the following internal conflict sooner or later: do I post a review about that neighborhood
I had walked past Mama Ayesha's for years on my way back and forth to Adams Morgan, but only just recently stopped in.

read moreMama Ayesha's restaurant in DC has received mixed reviews from customers. While some have found the food to be excellent with perfect seasoning and flavors, others have had negative experiences. One group encountered a mouse running around the restaurant, leading to a disrespectful response from the hostess. Another group experienced slow service and difficulties splitting the bill for a large party. Despite these issues, some customers have praised the Mediterranean cuisine, fresh ingredients, and friendly service. The restaurant seems to offer a unique dining experience, blending traditional dishes with a cozy ambiance. If you can overlook the occasional misstep, Mama Ayesha's may be worth a visit for those looking to try authentic Palestinian cuisine in the DC area.
Amazing waiter. Made the experience. And the food was pretty great, too.
