Dauphine's is a restaurant inspired by the vibrant culture and iconic cuisine of New Orleans. Led by Chef Kristen Essig, who called the city home for over two decades, the menu at Dauphine's pays homage to the diverse cultural influences and rich culinary traditions of New Orleans, while incorporating Mid-Atlantic ingredients. The beverage program, developed in partnership with New Orleans native Neal Bodenheimer, owner of Cure (the 2018 James Beard Foundation Award winner for Outstanding Bar Program), features a menu of both classic cocktails and innovative riffs. The expansive indoor dining area includes a large sunken dining room with a custom raw bar and wood charcuterie case, a wrought-iron pavilion connecting the bar and dining areas, and an intimate mezzanine for private dining. Additionally, Dauphine's boasts two outdoor spaces - a 30-seat outdoor bar with a custom New Orleans-inspired tiled fountain, and a covered dining patio for up to 80 guests.

Feedback
Dauphine offers a visually stunning dining experience marked by distinct spaces, from its inviting bar to the charming patio. While opinions on the food and service vary widely, highlights include exceptional oysters and creative seafood dishes. Many diners praised the ambiance and certain standout items like the bread service and Ya Ya gumbo. However, concerns about overpriced, misleading menu items and inattentive service have also surfaced, with some diners feeling undervalued. Overall, Dauphine presents an alluring destination that may satisfy those seeking creativity and quality, while requiring a careful approach to menu choices and service expectations.
The food and staff were fantastic! They were really understanding and accommodating towards gluten allergies.
Delicious, lovely waiter, but the crab was almost nonexistent on the Egg Neptune.
Misleading menu. The jambalaya is not what you think. It is completely deconstructed and frankly the portions are ridiculous for the $85 price tag. The service fairly good
I wanted to love this restaurant! Its very pretty. Its overpriced and the food ranged from bad to adequate. The fact that you have to pay for the bread which frankly is the highlight of the menu pointed to the end My husband had the fluke -wine sauce seperated when poured on the fish. The dessert, the baked alaska, tasted like coffee over stale cake-for $22-no thanks. When we made the reservation-we said we were celebrating someones birthday-nothing was done. Just an overpriced-bad dinner.
