The meals were delightful! I had the grilled whiting, which was juicy and flavorful. The salads were fresh and just as delicious. They also serve hot dinners, which were definitely worth every penny. The dining room and bar staff were very friendly. My partner ordered the seafood basket, while my mother had the whiting. I regret that we couldn't finish everything! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Weeroona:
Came to this pub as tourists. Not ever being here before. We were polite, pleasant and dressed nicely. Did not know it had 3 little rooms for dining. Not very welcoming front of house old biddy. She was very dismissive. No explanations as to where to go to eat as we walked into the front bar, had to ask the locals who were really nice. The two young waitresses were lovely and polite. Now, what a classic hotel, friendly helpful staff, a lot of atmosphere from a missed old, beautiful front bar with sporty section on one end, a very nice play room with a good selection on current machines, two dining areas, beautiful original staircase, good bier and wine selection, as for eating very good promenade and a nice variety of road to choose excellent parking, at the main water parks.
21/12/2021 Just a heads up. We have been back twice since the first time. All I can say is never disappoints. Got to sit outside with the lovely view. Loved the front bar atmosphere every time we have gone. I have to say when I walked it didn't have much going for it. Well it's true never judge a book by its cover. I think her name was Annette in the front bar was great. Very friendly and insightful. Told us the history of the hotel and the ghost in room 11. It was quiet, but the atmosphere was perfect. Simple counter pub meal. Chicken Schnitzel and chips. When it came out, it didn't look special. Nothing to write home about. It looked like every other Schnitzel I have had in the past. Well I was wrong. It was juicy, full of flavour and the gravy was perfect as well. The chips might looked undercooked but they were not. It's because the oil was clean and not old and dirty. At the end of the meal she came back over to us and provided a tip on places to go. The whole experience was worth my 5 stars. We are already talking about going back.
The best pub for a meal. The food was the best I have had in years, the atmosphere was great, and LINDY, our waitress, was superb. Caring, super efficient, and just plain lovely. We have not had better service any where. Thank you Weeroona. Definitely 5 stars
Absolutely fantastic meal for the family, reasonable priced and very large meals. A wonderful evening out.
Best pub meal we have had for a long time. We go pub every second night on our travels, so been to a few! All freshly cooked, good salad. We had whiting and seafood basket, delicious. Chef said rissoles are very good! Maybe next time! Good service and prices as well. Very near the beachfront caravan park.
