The summer is winding down but this place is still packing them in! We spent the summer weekends filling up in fresh Lake Erie perch and calamari.
Best perch everWent there with my boyfriend on a very good warm evening, the fries is heavenly .
When you go to a restaurant, you expect certain thingsDecent service, good food, not waiting too long, and a nice atmosphere.
The best fish and chips in the area can be found at this restaurant. They also serve a delicious French onion soup. Everything I tried here was excellent.
I've been to DJ's Roadhouse a lot. I always like to go to my birthday. Last year I missed COVID. This year I went and the big surprise is that she brought a steak dinner back to the menu. First, there were at least 4 steak dinners. You don't have any more server roles and butter at the beginning. You can now calculate extra for a page salad, which was previously one of the available pages without a surcharge. Also I always order a side of fried garlic mushrooms with my steak. You don't even have it now. My dinner was very good, the steak cooked on request. The baked potato was cooked well, but quite small. Cole Slav? There's hardly one, maybe three bites, and that's it. Why do they bother? MY relatives had fish and it was well cooked, but the same thing almost no Cole Slav and they PILE on the fries, even if we did not ask them to do it! The other disappointment was not a freebie for my birthday. They always gave a free dessert, but not now. You pay everything. Besides, I found out they're still making the best rib on Saturday night. It's a fucking $29,95!! Two years ago it was $19.95 and last year it was about 22.95, but $29.95? For less than degree An Alberta beef? It's just profiting. I don't want to hear it's all about COVID. It's just an excuse. I also noticed that all prices are a LOT! I went to dinner with a relative. We both ordered exactly the same as 2 years ago, I ordered the steak, her the fish. Two years ago, the bill was $35. This year it was $50. It is still an OK place and the service was good, but the owners are really shaking in the winnings. The value will sink and it will lose its appeal.
