It... read more If you find yourself in Wainfleet, make sure to stop by for a meal! A friend of mine who visited last month highly recommended this place, and I can see why. It wasn't very crowded on this Sunday evening, and we were seated quickly, with our drinks ordered and served in about five minutes. Overall, we experienced friendly, prompt, and laid-back service. I ordered a cabernet franc from nearby Reif Estates, which paired perfectly with my seafood linguini. The hot, delicious rolls that came with our meal were a nice touch, and we decided to skip appetizers since I had heard the portions were generous. That turned out to be true—I couldn't finish my dish and left about a third of my pasta behind! My friend enjoyed the lamb shank with mashed potatoes and vegetables, and he was very pleased with his choice as well. We will definitely be returning!

The owner made the decision to leave the hustle and bustle of the big city to establish himself in a small town, taking over the local family restaurant and tavern, and what he has accomplished is nothing short of brilliant. The menu offers a wide range of delicious options, from lamb shanks to various pasta dishes, plus some fantastic specials on the night we visited. The place was busier than anticipated, so our server was a bit overwhelmed, but since we weren't in a hurry, it didn't bother us at all. I chose the sausage penne, and the portion was generous—so much so that I had leftovers for lunch the next day. Overall, it’s great value, with friendly service and a nice selection of wines. This place is definitely a winner!
