The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I especially enjoyed the flavorful spicy chicken taco, and was pleased that they were available for purchase individually. The staff was excellent, attentive, and efficient.

We had drinks and an appetizer before asking to order dinner, only to be told that the kitchen had already closed. Chloe did not check on us for 15-20 minutes, and when I mentioned that she never informed us of the kitchen's closing time at 11, she simply confirmed that it was already closed. Despite the restaurant not being very busy after 10:30, this lack of communication and service was disappointing.

We arrived during lunchtime and the restaurant was busy. The dishes being enjoyed at other tables looked delicious. Our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient. We opted to try the pizza, as we had yet to find a good one in Vernon. We chose the house special without beef, and it was amazing. The large pizza was huge, perfect for two people, and reasonably priced. Each slice was loaded with toppings and cheese, so we could only manage two pieces each. It was the best pizza we have had in Vernon so far. Kal also offers take-out, so we will definitely be ordering from there again. They have recently added a family section and a kids menu. Kal is a popular downtown pub for good reason - great atmosphere, friendly staff, top-notch chef, tasty food, and reasonable prices. Give it a shot!

We went for dinner and tried their underrated nachos and pizza. My girlfriend and I shared a small pizza and regular nachos after a day at the beach, which were satisfying and more than enough for two hungry people. The Kal's kitchen as a whole is underrated, with hand sanitizer and QR codes for the menu on each table. Our only suggestion would be to include prices for everything and non-alcoholic drinks on the menu. This bar is a popular spot for young adults in Vernon, offering activities like darts, UFC, and deer games. The only downside is when they have live bands, making it difficult to have conversations inside due to the small venue. Overall, The Kal is an excellent sports bar in Vernon with friendly staff, who even allowed us to move tables on the patio.
