La Primula Bianca is in Castellaro di Varzi, along the The Salt Road (La Via del Sale), a beautiful panoramic old pathway from Varzi to Portofino that goes back to the Middle Ages. Varzi is renowned for producing the best salami in Italy, and the hills around the small Castellaro village are also famous for wild mushrooms, in particular for the legendary ‘porcini’, and truffles, both abundantly present on the Tasting Menu.
