I had 40 minutes to spend while waiting for my train, so I decided to check out Valhalla Crossing. I ordered The Crossing Signature Burger with coleslaw on the side. The burger was quite good, but the meat patty was unsalted. After adding some salt, the flavors immediately improved. It was quite a big burger, which was great, but it was too tall to comfortably take a bite. I wasn't too thrilled with the coleslaw, as the vegetables were drowning in watery mayonnaise, and I don't think adding bell pepper was a good idea. However, the service was excellent. The hostess and waitress were very nice and attentive. Overall, I think it's a decent place and a nice spot to enjoy some food.
Very DISSAPPOINTED: The food was awful, can not recommend it. Sorry!
I'm not sure if they were having an off day or if someone quit but the service was very poor. Our drinks were empty the majority of the time. My food was wrong, they did fix it. I'll try it one more time but we were there just after 12:30 PM on a week day, meh. One more shot!
The food and service at this place was excellent. A must visit if in the area.
Found this place on the way to Kensico dam plaza. Not really vegan friendly but overall beautiful place to eat and watch the trains go by.
Valhalla Crossing, located by the train station, offers a unique dining experience in an old train caboose that has been restored into a restaurant. The close proximity to an active railroad adds to the ambiance, giving diners a truly memorable setting for their meal. The food is delicious, with generous portions that are sure to satisfy even the heartiest appetites. While some dishes like the french fries may not have been perfect, overall, the dining experience is highly recommended. The establishment is well-known for its excellent burgers, with many considering it to be the best in Westchester. In addition to the tasty food, the attentive service and welcoming atmosphere make Valhalla Crossing a great choice for a meal or just drinks with friends. Whether you are a train enthusiast or simply looking for a great place to eat, Valhalla Crossing is sure to impress with its unique setting, delicious food, and friendly service.

When I first went, the service was amazing, probably because it wasn't too busy. Went recently last weekend and the service was a little slow because it was busy. Waiter was warm and food was great.
We weren't here in a while and wanted to try something else. Our reaction was ?meh?. My youngest enjoyed his huge pulpit, but then had no interest in his overhauled slider. My other son has an Orange Chicken scarf, which should be supposed to be gay and spicy? but was mostly spicy rice with very little chicken. He didn't touch it to the first taste. My sausage broccoli rabe wedge was fine, but messy (uses a knife and fork to eat) and not to write at home. Needless to say with so many options in the area, we will not go back soon.
I met some old friends here. We ordered burgers that none of us finished bc they were huge and came with delicious french fries and onions rings! Go!
Family friendly atmosphere and something for everyone in the menu. Children love to eat in a train car and the history of the building is so interesting. Huge portions bring your appetite!
I'm something of a train buff and this venue was awesome it is a train station right on the tracks and you have trains zooming by while you're having a meal. But outside of that what made it special was we had 12 people in our party and everybody seem to have something different and every single person loved their meal.

A Friend sent this to me: We went to Valhalla Crossing (by the train station) for dinner last night. Had the burger... excellent again. I really think it's the best burger in Westchester. C
Never a bad meal and courteous staff, always a pleasure to dine here
First time I’ve tried. Great food and excellent service. Would recommend !!
Absolutely amazing owners! The food was delicious, the portions were large. We went here after burying my mom in Gates of Heaven cemetery. All arrangements were made over the phone with Louise, the owner. She was an incredibly helpful and easy to work with person. I highly recommend this place.
They have an awesome Shepherds pie and chicken pot pie too. Onion rings are nice and crunchy, and the sweet potato fries are also memorable! Enjoy everyone!
