This year I was here a week before we were going to be staying in Vail and made a reservation. I wanted a reservation at 7. I was told 5:15 or 8:15. We chose 5:15 and had to pay 25 each to reserve a table. We arrived on time to an empty restaurant. We had dinner and it was not to any standard I have ever had there. At the end of dinner when we left the restaurant was still fairly empty. Very disappointed with the dinner and I was not credited the 50 I put down. I’m still trying to find out if I will get my back. MT Standard was very disappointing .

But tonight missed the mark. Over-priced and over-cooked 48$ tri tip. Only 6 oz. Tri tip is only about 10$/lb. Chowder was ok but missing real taste and small portion. Waitress was prompt but didn't ask if we enjoyed the meal, thus this review.

Int... read more Very high expectations for our 30th anniversary dinner which fell short. The atmosphere was diminished by too loud 80s pop music (turned down upon request). Interesting entrees turned out to be a bit too complex. The hostess gave her perfunctory happy anniversary but it was never mentioned by wait staff. Understandable that every diner is celebrating some birthday, anniversary, etc. but it would seem providing a small amenity in acknowledgement would be a nice touch. Sorry to say, but disappointed by the overall experience.
