Ludwig's
Description
Metro 8 is a restaurant that offers a memorable dining experience, with a mix of positive and negative reviews. While some patrons raved about the outstanding food and service, others were disappointed with the quality and value for cost. The diverse menu with options like sunchoke bisque, wagyu tenderloin, and porcini mushroom noodles pleased many palates, while others found dishes like gnocchi and buffalo lacking in flavor and execution. The extensive wine selection and creative dessert offerings were highlighted as positives, along with the attentive and personal service from servers and the owner. Despite some mixed feedback, Metro 8 seems to be a popular choice for various occasions, from business lunches to special celebrations, with a pleasant atmosphere and delicious food options.

Anniversary dinner with our two children, 8 and 10. We decided to sit out on the porch on a fairly humid June evening and the ceiling fans made for a nice breeze. We find most restaurants to be overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we walked in - that's a huge plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without interfering. She commented that it was nice to see kids with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as advertised and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended.
Metro 8 is a great option at all times, but also more so during restaurant week. 3 course meal with a steak starter for $ 30! The 16 ounce churrasco steak is amazing and an incredible offering. My favorite dessert is the Dulce de Leche Crepes ... I like them as much as the steak - I understand they are probably a labor intensive endeavor for Restaurant Week but I was disappointed that they were removed from the Restaurant Week menu and I couldn't . t submit it for a charge. So I probably won't go on weekly trips to the restaurant, but will always come back to the regular menu.
Great for Father's Day as the portions are large and hefty. Airy high ceilings. Music of the type 'Frank Sinatra'. Very pleasant.
The restaurant is inside another restaurant inside the hotel, is it's a bit hard to find. The food tastes great! Wagyu tenderloin is tender and juicy. The venison and the sauce paired with it are fantastic too. It's dryer than beef but it's thegood kind if dry, making it more flavorful.
I had a fantastic experience at Stüberl. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive during our dinner. The Pinot Noir by the glass was wonderful and reasonably priced. I particularly enjoyed the venison duo, which was surprisingly well-portioned; I didn't feel overly full at the end of the meal. Additionally, the ambiance was beautiful. Overall, I would definitely return.
