Surprised for a Friday evening dinner to get a table in a city venue and be able to take a dog inside , great start, good vibes and cool place from a blink and miss it from the outside. We had a few samples to figure which drinks to have served by the awesome bar staff opting for The Wizard and a Plum sour. Great tasting drinks. Myself, and 14 lads were on a cheeky hikoi around brewtown. It was hardly pumping in boneface so we thought “huh yeah why not, worth pop.” Unfortunately a pop was exactly what we got in the form of a verbal volley from a short bald man with a beard. “Do you have a table for 15?”, I enquired. “Table for 15? 2019: The vegan cheese pizza was delicious and perfectly paired with a beer from their brewery. It was great to find some hearty vegan options at Top Hatt!
Got food poisoning : and given the Boneface Team have implied instead it was a “sudden illness” let me confirm that three of the five people I had lunch with at Boneface got food poisoning within 2 hours of our visit. Three sad faces, one star : : :
I’m calling it, the best fried chicken burger I have ever had. Pilsner was fantastic!

Epic dinner beyond expectation. Brewtown in Upper Hutt hides this restaurant that’s nailed BBQ . I’m in town for two nights and will be back there for dinner tomorrow.
