After driving around several times to find a parking spot, we finally located one. And let me tell you, it was worth the effort! The food at this restaurant was exceptional - I would rate it a 10 out of 10. View all feedback.
What Pam W doesn't like about A-j's Dockside:
We have visited this restaurant about 15 times in the past 11 years since moving to Tybee. Unfortunately, this may be our last visit. The food was only average. My sea flounder was overcooked and my husband's mahi mahi was good. However, our potatoes were cold and the hushpuppies were not very flavorful. We enjoy watching the sunset here, but in the future, we may just come for a drink and view instead of dinner. View all feedback.
The fried oysters are the best in town. It’s always packed. Call ahead and check hours and reservations. We go here every year.
Service good, gumbo great, bottledbbeer warm, sautéed muscle special way overdone.
We were recommended to go here. We were told of a spectacular red snapper that we had to try. However, they didn't have the red snapper when we went. We tried the flounder. It was mealy. Soft even. The food was meh at best. The service was great. The ambience as good. It rained. We can't blame the restaurant for that. They did serve our pup on the patio with water and go out of their way to make us comfortable. Service was a 10/10. Food didn't rate for the cost per person. $135 bill with tip for three people was high for the food quality. Four stars is generous.
This place has really good eating and service and an amazing outside view of the back of tybee. they also have delicious dessert and a sweet little gift shop highly recommended.
Our seafood go-to, Tybee's best! Still there best a year later!!! The fried oyster po boy today, SOOO FRESH AND COOKED JUST RIGHT GREAT SERVICE!!!
