Chamacos Tacos Surf - Tybee Island

The staff was very courteous, and the restaurant was clean. However, they missed the mark with the chicken tacos. On the other hand, my fried oyster taco was quite enjoyable. It's a trendy spot, but they need to improve their understanding of flavors and textures when it comes to the chicken dishes.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot to enjoy a beachy atmosphere with a unique twist. The guacamole is fantastic, and the tacos are superb—my parents especially loved the fish and shrimp tacos, declaring the fish one of the best dishes they had during their five-day stay on the island. The only downside for me is that the veggie taco includes a mix of vegetables that has mushrooms in it. If I could have ordered it without the mushrooms, it would have been perfect! I highly recommend sitting outside, as the music is great and the vibe is relaxed and fun. I would definitely return!

The location was convenient and welcoming, but unfortunately, the food lacked authenticity and did not taste good. The taco portions were disappointing for the price of $3.50 each. They also ran out of cilantro, and the hostess was quite rude about offering a substitute. The server, who was clearly overwhelmed due to being understaffed, led to an excessively long wait time. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

The food here is so good. Ordered a shrimp soft taco and barbacolla soft taco. The soft shells are deliciously fresh. The **** Maria compliments the shrimp so well, albeit a little spicy it's a must have.

We went on a Sunday night during the off season(March). Our service was friendly, the food came out quickly. The beer selections were fantastic. During peak tourist season be prepared to wait, but it'll be worthwhile!
