Stopped by after a nice walk in the downtown area and enjoyed an excellent coffee and snack. Busy place. Sat outside and had a good conversation with the folks at the next table, who were from Peterborough, ON.Why would you go to a chain when there is a gem like this? View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Jimolly's Bakery Cafe:
I stopped by Jimollys with my husband to order coffee, tea, and a muffin. The waitress had to ask us on three separate occasions what we had ordered, as she appeared to have forgotten each time. I have visited this cafe four times, and have decided never to visit again. The servers are rude, unprofessional, and make the customer feel like an inconvenience. View all feedback.

We were there in the summer when our daughter was visiting. It is a really nice spot... felt like a tourist spot to me even though its in our town. Very different decor than the normal cafe.

This is a restaurant that Truro really needed. It has a comforting atmosphere, and excellent, friendly wait staff. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. My only complaint is that they don’t offer much for sides. I had the ribs which came with jalapeño cornbread. While the ribs were great, the cornbread wasn’t very appetizing. My partner had the tenderloin, which again was delicious but didn’t come with any side. It would have been nice if they offered something like fries, a salad or mashed potatoes, etc. But that being said, their portions were quite large and filled us up. All in all, it was a great dining experience and I’ll definitely return in the future.
Overall this place is a nice addition to our town! Great atmosphere, drinks service. We sat by the fire and stayed warm for the time we were there. My low review is sadly due to the food taste quality of the food. Every item we ordered was luke warm and extremely underwhelming. (Ribs, fingerling fries and slider trio) burger portion of the trio was the only part of the dinner that was good. The photos really sold us on trying this spot and unfortunately the taste was not there at all. An old fashioned main squeeze cocktail were very good. Prices are also very fair which is another win for this place but I don’t think I would ever return.
