A magnificent hotel to stay several days and explore the area
Good location. Room furnitures,bedding bathroom are tired can use some update. Very limited toiletries. Nice looking lobby but filthy elevators can see dirty smudges all over the doors. Convenient parking. 2 stars front desk (had to ring bell to call for staff not friendly), 4 stars for attentive breakfast staff. Order breakfast from menu really enjoyed the waffles, also tried the the local fish but find it very bony.
Hotel in a quiet area, among greenery and the river. Rooms are spacious, well equipped, clean, air conditioned. The service was polite and helpful. The food is very good, varied everyone will find something for themselves. In the nearby area there are shops and the Conference Center where you can catch wonderful performances of Irish music and dance.
Stayed in the Rose Hotel on a Saturday night recently and from the moment at checkin we felt so welcome and at ease. I tour Ireland for a living and I thought the staff on reception, in the bar for dinner and at breakfast we so seasoned and professional it was impressive. At reception, from the warm welcome to assisting us with some items we'd forgotten, they were a great help. In the bar for food, they had GF options for our child and when one of us had to leave briefly, our food was kept warm (without asking) and their attention to us, engagement with our kids and prompt service really made it a great experience. At breakfast, we got a warm welcome, prompt service and the seperate GF buffet had our child beaming. Can't compliment the staff enough, a great mix of experience and new staff. Clearly comes from the top down. This level of hospitality is what Kerry is renowned for. Room also very comfortable. Highly recommend.
