What Anonym dislikes about The Park:
Worst service in kerry 4 members of staff working on the floor in bar/ restaurant nobody behind the bar.couldnt give order for food or a drink eventually decided to call a pint and give the food order when barman came back with the pint of Guinness, but alas that sat for 20 minutes before a different server caught my attention and he had to pour it down the sink and pull a new one but he then continued with his duties... I went to this restaurant for brunch and it was quite crowded. We ordered the Rose Hotel BLT, avocado wrap, and a soup. The BLT was delicious and the avocado wrap was nicely presented with a generous portion for the price. The soup tasted fresh. I will definitely come back again.
Hotel restaurants in Europe are known for their quality, and this one is no exception. I have dined here many times over the past decade, when the hotel was known as the Fels Point, during my visits to Tralee. I have attended private events and enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at this restaurant. During my recent visit, we dined at the restaurant on two consecutive nights. The food was exceptional on both occasions. The restaurant was very accommodating, offering simple pub fare to some and full meals to others. The starters, including the pea risotto and glazed salmon, were delicious. On the first night, both my wife and I ordered the duck, which was outstanding. My wife enjoyed it so much that she ordered it again on the second night, while I opted for the sirloin of Irish beef. Since the rebranding of the hotel to the Rose Hotel, the public areas, including the dining room, have been beautifully redecorated. The service remains consistently excellent.
Went for a lunch with my husband and both ordered see bass from lunch special menu, they served fish that wasn't fresh, waitress only told us sorry. That shouldn't happen in 4star hotel. Won't go there anymore.
I went to The Rose Hotel for lunch while doing some Christmas shopping. Our experience started off great as the atmosphere was lovely and festive, and we even received complimentary mulled wine upon arrival. I had the pulled beef sandwich for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised to find out they had gluten free bread available, as both myself and my mom have celiac disease. We decided to end our meal with a dessert to share. When we inquired if the creme brûlée was gluten free, we were told that it was. However, while eating it, we noticed a paste at the end that we were unsure of. After asking the waiter, we were informed that there is usually fruit in the dessert. Upon further investigation, we discovered that the creme brûlée actually contained an amaretto biscuit mixed into the custard, which was not ideal to find out after already consuming most of the dessert. There seemed to be confusion among the staff members, and it took a significant amount of time before we were given a clear answer about the ingredients. Overall, there could definitely be better communication between the staff and chef to avoid situations like this in the future.
Located in the 4 Star Rose Hotel in Tralee. We stopped here for a group dinner before heading to the nearby Siamsa Tire National Folk Theatre. Beautiful place with professional white glove service. The staff was excellent even with a rude traveling companion. The food was terrific. Started with a tasty mushroom soup. Followed with a breast of chicken with mushrooms and tarragon jus. Dessert was a sampler platter.
