The hotel featured in these reviews offers a mix of positives and negatives. While the location, staff, and decor are highlighted as positives, there are concerns about security, staircase access, small dinner portions, room size, lack of a lift, and high prices. Overall, the hotel seems to offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a good selection of food. Guests seem to appreciate the cleanliness, comfortable beds, and quality of service provided. Was Anonym at The Grand a mag?
decorated for Christmas, the hotel is beautiful, we had the chance to have a room on the street with decorations, and illuminations on the windows, we also ate at the hotel restaurant, a feast was succulent from the dish to the dessert. breakfast is really good, and on the very well-presented map. I recommend View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about The Grand:
Dinner was lovely dessert was ok (baked alaska) Downside was they put us into a corner at a table thats for people but there was of us (adults) so i asked for a bigger table but they joined the other small table to ours. There was no metres from each table no certs requested and poor ventilation considering the metre rule wasn't been obeyed by the business. Place is a bit expensive too. The Grand Hotel in Tralee is a beautiful old hotel with a lot of charm. I slept there for 2 nights and recommend it 100%. The rooms are modern and friendly and the bathroom is also very modern. The food (I had breakfast and dinner) is very good. Thank you for letting me stay here.
We ate in the restaurant. Typically Irish dishes and desserts in a well-decorated dining room. Normal prices. Very good service. Impeccable bathrooms
Food is next to none and the service and staff and great Never leave you waiting As soon as they see you they are on you to get you seated and served
This is a great hotel, in a great location in the town. I stayed in a newly refurbished room and it was very modern and comfortable. The adjoining restaurant had a very large menu with plenty of variety, and the food was excellent. The staff were very accomodating, packing my dinner into a take out bag (with a bonus desert) to take back to my room. My stay this time was for business and I will be returning here for my next trip and any leisure stays in the future.
Visited The Pikeman Bar at The Grand Hotel in Tralee during our road trip in Ireland, based on the recommandation in ‘Rough guide’. The bar area and atmosphere was brilliant. I had the seafood platter salad and I was blown away by the freshness and quality of the food. My partner had the rib of beef which was excellent as well. We were so pleased with the food that we returned the next day for breakfast and the full Irish breakfast was fantastic. Amazing value for the price we paid on both occasions. Highly recommend.
