Lovely welcome at reception by the effervescent Bobbi (sorry that name is wrong, but I gave it a go anyway . She was fab,, This is an iconic building in the centre of Tralee. Old world charm in reception, dining room, bar. yet the bedroom I stayed in was very modern and comfortable and looked recently refurbished. Fantastic shower room. Cosy and spotless There is a lovely comfortable residents lounge on the first floor if you don 't want to be in the bar. It has comfy chairs for relaxing /reading. However the bar might be the star of the show. So typically Irish, comfortable and great attentive service from staff. Breakfast in the beautiful dining room was delicious. Small buffet and then table service for cooked breakfasts. Stuff to watch out for. If you have mobility issues talk to the reservations before you book. There 's not a lift in the building and some of the rooms will be inaccessible to wheelchair users. However they may have options for you. Parking: is on street. Ask reservations about this before you travel. Long may hotels like 'The Grand ' be with us,
