The Dundee Arms, a pub in East London, elicits mixed responses from patrons. While some appreciate its casual atmosphere, reasonable drink prices, and friendly staff, others criticize the inconsistent service, questionable door policies, and off-putting exterior. Experiences range from enjoying lively trivia nights and affordable drinks to disheartening encounters with unprofessional behavior from bouncers. Despite its charm and a cozy, living-room-like interior, many recommend exploring alternative local establishments for a more welcoming experience, especially when looking to catch a game or socialize with friends. Ultimately, the Dundee Arms is a venue best approached with caution, as opinions vary widely.

Was ClintBaptiste at Dundee Arms a mag?
Even though there were mixed reviews, I had a great afternoon/evening here with a friend. What was meant to be a quick drink turned into staying until 10 o'clock. The staff was friendly, the beer was reasonably priced, and there was an interesting crowd. View all feedback.

My girlfriend and I went to watch a football game at this pub. We had a few drinks when suddenly we encountered a drunk man who was a bit annoying and inappropriate towards my girlfriend. He stood in front of me while we were trying to watch the TV screen and refused to move when asked. After a small argument, he finally went inside. However, he returned with another man, possibly his security, claiming to be the owner of the pub. I, being a local and also running a pub in the area, found his behavior unprofessional and unacceptable. We will not be returning to this establishment. I suggest looking for another place to watch football and have a drink in the Bethnal Green area, as there are plenty of options to choose from, excluding this one.

This restaurant provides a lovely atmosphere for enjoying drinks with friends. The staff is pleasant and they offer a great variety of drinks. The door staff is friendly and there are fun trivia cards available on the tables.

The Dundee Arms embodies everything that 's wrong with the generic hipster takeover of East London. The staff were disgustingly rude and inconsistent with their closing policy. It was as though they just wanted to have a 'lock in ' with their mates. There are so many better places you can go in the area. Overpriced. Nothing to different offer. To be avoided.

Was very disappointed with my treatment at the door of the Dundee Arms this evening. At 9 PM, after 2 drinks I made an attempt to go in with my friends and was stopped by the bouncer to be told that I had had one too many. When I tried to oppose the bouncer's decision and ask why, I was not given a particular reason. I have to flag that I was not stumbling, slurring, abusive or being loud in front of the bouncer... all valid reasons for not letting someone in. I really hate to say this, and I have never had to this before... ever.... but I believe that either the bouncer didn't let me in because of the way I looked or because I was gay. Either way, as there was no dress code for the venue, this is not OK. What further proves my point is that two hours later I witnessed my straight female friend, who was borderline obliterated drunk, walk straight in with no issues. No bueno.
