Dundee Arms - Tower Hamlets
Dundee Arms
Description
The Dundee Arms, a pub in East London, elicits mixed responses from patrons. While some appreciate its casual atmosphere, reasonable drink prices, and friendly staff, others criticize the inconsistent service, questionable door policies, and off-putting exterior. Experiences range from enjoying lively trivia nights and affordable drinks to disheartening encounters with unprofessional behavior from bouncers. Despite its charm and a cozy, living-room-like interior, many recommend exploring alternative local establishments for a more welcoming experience, especially when looking to catch a game or socialize with friends. Ultimately, the Dundee Arms is a venue best approached with caution, as opinions vary widely.

Best cheese toastie ever! immersed for a fast bite, but there was no menu available (I think they had no cooking) but offered toasties. yummy yummy, highly recommended. friendly staff informed me that they use apple chokedar cheese and some other cheese, (berry can't remember what.) please don't stop this. I love her grungy, quirky pub, I remember her years and years ago. local work party pub then!
A quiet Saturday afternoon would have been quieter if west ham had not been entertaining chelsea on bt sport. must have been 7 or 8 customers watching the game that takes place only a few miles away. the pub seems pretty upset, but not without charm. almost feels like it had been left for 20 years and someone found the key and opened. the key holders seemed to be two young hipster types, friendly and happy to serve. without a well-maintained fassbier on (el foundationb) it would probably not have registered more than 2 stars for me, but the beer was decent. a second hand pump served from a pocket, but I guess most of its market is for keg craft beer and cheap warehouse. they had a lot of cheese-based toasties on offer, but I went after a few pints and a bag of nuts. televised premier league football was not enough to stop sitting there.
Beautiful atmosphere and door staff were brilliant. thanks to phillip for us so welcome xx
My girlfriend and I went to watch a football game at this pub. We had a few drinks when suddenly we encountered a drunk man who was a bit annoying and inappropriate towards my girlfriend. He stood in front of me while we were trying to watch the TV screen and refused to move when asked. After a small argument, he finally went inside. However, he returned with another man, possibly his security, claiming to be the owner of the pub. I, being a local and also running a pub in the area, found his behavior unprofessional and unacceptable. We will not be returning to this establishment. I suggest looking for another place to watch football and have a drink in the Bethnal Green area, as there are plenty of options to choose from, excluding this one.
