If you sit down the back you can see all the fo... read more This is a vegetarian cafe/bistro and they are proud to say they use as much local produce and foods as they can. If you sit down the back you can see all the food being prepared and there are things to keep the kids occupied too. I had the most delicious carrot cake last time I was in there. I wouldn't usually choose a vegetarian place to eat but when taken there by friends I have to say the food has always been extremely tasty and freshly cooked and really not at all expensive. It is always busy and buzzing which means finding a seat can sometimes be problematical, but I have never been disappointed by whatever I have eaten there.

Always feel full but comfortable and you know that your food is nutritious and tasty. Never enough room but hey that speaks for itself. If it got any bigger it might not be better. Love the buzz of the place. Child friendly at back with toys and magazines. A nice experience, thank you.

The food is great and the salads are so tasty and interesting and even the coleslaw is vegan. They have a number of tasty vegan after dinner treats too. It has a hippy feel to the place which fits in with the town of Totnes. They are also open late which is unusual for Totnes. They sell alcohol including organic beers and wines.

The salads are wonderfully fresh, and the patês and salsas are delicious. The decor is pleasant and the staff is welcoming.
