Despite the crowded and noisy environment, we were seated promptly and served drinks while we looked over the menu. The cheeseburger was fantastic, my wife raved about the mac and cheese, and my son and his fiancée enjoyed a delicious vegan dish. The restaurant even offers multiple options for vegan diners. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised and would rate it higher than five stars.

One may be mistaken that this is just a cafe serving excellent coffee and cantuccini and indeed it is but upstairs at lunchtimes they have a lightish menu that is inventive and just right. In fact you could graze on their small bites all day long. Excellent wines complete the picture of tasty, simple and nourishing delights that remind one of local trattorias in Italy. Simple tables and very helpful staff make this such a pleasant place to spend a few hours.

The Antip... read more This was my top pick after researching dinner options in Totnes and I wasn't disappointed. We skipped the tasting menu and went for 2 courses instead. The Antipasti was delicious and a large portion (I had the fava bean pizzette). To be honest I could have stopped there, but I enjoyed the Parmigiano Secondi that followed.
