Feedback
Rumour in Totnes offers a mixed experience, with a range of opinions from customers. Some have found the food to be disappointing and overpriced, with tasteless dishes and slow service. On the other hand, there are those who praise the vegan options on the menu, particularly the Moving Mountains burger and vegan pizza. The atmosphere and service have received mixed reviews, with some customers enjoying the professional and friendly staff, while others have noted slow service and kitchen delays. Overall, Rumour offers a versatile menu with standout dishes such as the Duck Leg Pizzas, but may vary in quality and service depending on the individual experience.
Very poor value, I had vegan burger and chips; a small lonely burger in a bun with a handful of skinny fries and what constituted a salad was a small pile of rocket with a lazy squirt of balsamic glaze- chef, this does NOT constitute a dressing!! At £17.50 this was very disappointing, complaisant food, I wish I had gone down the chippy..
Awful service. Must have said we wanted two pizzas to the waiter about three times but only one arrived. The service was really slow and the average age of the staff was about 17. They clearly didn’t want to be there and couldn’t have cared less. Really sad because it used to be great and welcoming. Food was ok but nothing to write home about. And horribly expensive for the quality. Won’t be going back. Style over substance.
We loved this place. Quite rustic and definitely not pretentious. The gentleman that was front of house was great. He was knowledgeable and personable. The food was excellent with perfect portion size. I couldn't fault it.
We had the specials and a very reasonably priced bottle of Spanish white wine. A delicious fish stew, cooked perfectly, with large plump mussels and prawns and a panko crumbed chicken burger. Good service and a very enjoyable lunch. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
