Food was good quality. Service wasnt great. We had two dishes missing. One arrived after we asked (an hour after ordering), the other didn't... Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30
We didn't expect the restaurant to be very busy on a weekday lunchtime, and indeed there were only a few customers scattered throughout the different dining areas. We liked looking at the wine selection, but unfortunately, one of us had driven so we couldn't indulge in more than one bottle. We ended up ordering our lunch dishes individually instead of getting everything at once, which may have affected the overall experience. While we generally like this place, the atmosphere and food didn't quite come together for us this time. It was decent and reasonably priced, but nothing special. Perhaps it's just a reflection of the current mood, lacking in positivity. Next time, we'll take the train and come with a lively group to really immerse ourselves in the experience.
Yesterday evening, a very accommodating waitress managed to squeeze us in even though we hadn't made a reservation. The food and wine were incredibly tasty, prompting us to make a reservation for the following night. Surprisingly, the tapas and wine (not to mention the Aperol Spritzes) were even better than the previous night. We tried different dishes and wines this time, giving us a good taste of the menu. The staff at this restaurant are likely the friendliest and most helpful we've ever encountered. Thank you for two delightful evenings enjoying delicious food and wine.
Waited for our food for about an hour, then we chased our order. It transpired that it was completely forgotten about. When our food came out we were missing two dishes. Food was very mediocre and the portions inadequate (even for tapas). Lacklustre service from person taking our payment, although our previous server was super nice and cheerful.
We have eaten here a couple of times and I often pop in for coffee during the day. The tapas is first class and they always have a good selection of wines to accompany it. I also recommend their espresso martinis! But also keep it in mind if you just fancy sitting in the front window with a cup of good coffee and people watching. The restaurant has a very friendly and intimate atmosphere that never feels too busy, even if it is at capacity.Staff are friendly and helpful.
