Naturally I called to tell them see what we could do as it wasn’t an option to go back and collect because everyone had opened their food were sat around the table... I can honestly say I was met by a disgusting man on the phone who has zero customer service skills and basically a ‘what do you want me to do about it’ attitude. He was vile, talked down to me, offered NO solution whatsoever, was sarcastic just dam rude. They’re called St Mary’s takeaway now. Perhaps they should invest in training this particular individual in customer service. After hanging up the phone we were called back by another staff member who then sent out the missing order. Unfortunately it turned up too late as everyone had finished eating the food had been tainted by the shocking service. We’re not unreasonable people, mistakes happen but the way he spoke to me on the phone just shows how much he values the custom. We 100% will NEVER order from here again.

The portions were very generous, with thick chunks of fish and chips that were not greasy. The staff was friendly and I will definitely be coming back again.

We ordered from mariners/plainmoor fish bar this evening for delivery. When ordering it said 40 minute wait. Over 2 hours later and 3 phone calls and the food finally arrived as they had lost the order. We called and were fobbed off as the female answering the call couldn’t be bothered checking, the same the second time (we didn’t chase the order until it was 30 mins late , third time and they finally looked into the order which seemed to have been lost, this could have been checked the first time round by the lazy staff!! To top it off THEY ARE NOT FOLLOWING SOCIAL DISTANCING WHEN DELIVERING, the girl delivering looked like she needed a good wash let alone deliver food. She’s a food hygiene issue (and personal hygiene waiting to happen. She also has a mouth like a sewer and when I mentioned the food had taken over 2 hours she responded with ‘not my problem’ f off, well love it is your problem you are delivering food for a company who are paying you (not rocket science even with one brain cell!! . STAY AWAY FROM THIS FAST FOOD PLACE, NO SOCIAL DISTANCING, WHICH MAKES YOU WONDER WHAT THEY ARE DOING IN THE FOOD ENVIRONMENT AS THE EASIEST PART SHOULD BE THE DELIVERY, (IF THEY CANT GET THAT RIGHT THEY ARE A RISK TO THE PUBLIC , PLUS THE GRUBBY LOOKING DELIVERY GIRL AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I called the fish bar and the manager apologised, said she was a rude member of staff who he has had issues with (probably cleanliness and manners who he’s taken on because they are busy and offered a free order next time. Mmm no thank you, no social distancing and dirty delivery drivers, I would rather look after my families health thank you very much.

After arriving in Torquay for our weekend break, we fancied takeaway fish and chips for dinner, we googled the nearest ones and chose this one as it was nearby.... read more After arriving in Torquay for our weekend break, we fancied takeaway fish and chips for dinner, we googled the nearest ones and chose this one as it was nearby. Battered cod was delicious and chips were also really nice. Not too greasy and we’re still hot when we arrived back at our holiday park approx 12 min drive. Would recommend this fish bar

This place al... read more We arrived after searching for a fish and chip shop on Google. This place is called Mariners. The order was taken very quickly and freshly cooked. This place also does pizza and kebabs. We got back to Parkdean after about15 minutes in traffic and the food was still lovely and hot. The fish was a lovely white colour and the chips were cooked perfectly. The fish tasted really good after a days travelling and sight seeing. I would certainly recommend this fish and chip shop and is great value for money
