My visit to the island would have remained incomplete if I had not taken the ferry back to Tobermory. Its about 1 1/2 hour ride and I spent most of the time on the upper deck. Its worth the money spent. View all feedback.
What Paul Morvan doesn't like about Chi-Cheemaun:
the curse of the internet setting up a username and password to create a reservation. then go through the entire process, including vehicle size etc. finally you get to the page that shows availability or lack thereof for the date you want...to travel reservations are free, no doubt there are no shows, but the ferry doesn't accept stand by vehicles/passengers View all feedback.
A lot of luck creating a user account and passwords. must tell their kind that they are sold out. the journey is beautiful.
It felt like an out-of-canada experience. When we first arrived there, 45 minutes early, we waited in a huge line to have someone who leads us from where we park. because we didn't drive in, we went on, and the parking space was locked. So it was very confusing. but the harbour staff was super friendly helpful we advise to hurry our tickets. they wait for no late comets! at bord was the staff very friendly. the restaurant hot table server was a little annoying, but everyone else was great! to be on this cruise was like being on one of the cruise ships. similar feeling see only a miniature, but still a very big ship. will plan a group trip and do not forget that their jacket with the outdoor width is somehow cold. we did not stay on the island, which was beautiful. the children were well entertained with their new angry friends played.
That was our first trip on the Chi-Chemaun. we had our truck and camper, so it was pricier to take, but out was a fantastic experience. they are unbelievable. the personal has taken everything perfectly so that the dinge run smoothly. the greatest was lost. that we arrived early to south baymouth and there is very little to do, unlike in tobermory. the food was offered on the boat at a reasonable price, but prepared for a line up.
Great ferry and great service. but beware. when they book a space for their vehicle, even if they pay in advance and show them less than an hour before their scheduled departure time, their reservation is lost that they go to standby. they. do not lose their payment, but they can not be able to lower the ferry is booked in the high season. they won't warn you when you book.
