We were really looking forward to visiting Corby's, but were left very disappointed. We ordered lasagne and a baguette, which were good (though not outstanding)... read more We were really looking forward to visiting Corby's, but were left very disappointed. We ordered lasagne and a baguette, which were good (though not outstanding), but when I went over to order cakes I was told that this was not possible as the restaurant closes at 3:00. When I pointed out that it was still only 2:40 I just got a shrug; there was not a hint of apology. Incidentally, the Corby's website claim they are currently operating a summer schedule, which should mean they close at 4:00. But in any case, to refuse to serve customers who are already seated and twenty minutes (at least) before closing time is pretty shabby service. As we were stepping out (2:50), they put the closed sign up. Fortunately Ramsgate has plenty of other good options.
