Feedback
Reviews praise Albion House’s views, décor and friendly staff, while noting variable roast availability, occasional portion inconsistency and a service charge.
Very good food in an interesting dining room. The staff were gracious and helpful.
This restaurant was the perfect choice for a Father's Day dinner. The smoked salmon starter was very popular, and the chicken schnitzel was cooked perfectly with a tasty crispy breadcrumb coating. The noise level was a bit high, but the waitress was able to lower the recorded sounds, making it easier for everyone to have conversations and enjoy a more sophisticated ambiance.
The food was delicious, but the service was disappointing. It is evident that the staff could benefit from some additional training on the bar inventory and menu items.
We reserved a table for two at this restaurant. The ambience and location were beautiful. However, we found the prices to be too high. The Sunday roast menu promised a variety of meats, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and other accompaniments, but we were disappointed to receive a small portion of meat, two undercooked potatoes, and one carrot. Additionally, we ordered bread and olives as a starter, but were only served six olives. We noticed that another table of two, who had also ordered olives, received a larger portion. The restaurant also adds a service charge to the bill. On a positive note, they were able to accommodate our request for a table that could fit a pram. Overall, I am unlikely to return to this restaurant due to the high prices, lack of flavor, inconsistent service, and poor food quality.
Mixed feelings on this restaurant. Fantastic dining room. Food also quite good. But some issues they need to sort out: 1. No kids menu, and lack of diversity for kids 2. Salmon is smoked, this is something that need to be mentioned clearly in the menu or flagged to clients 3. Service was very slow 4. Maybe another 2/3 options in the menu would be welcome

The kitchen batches its Sunday roasts, so the fullest choice and freshest cuts are most likely early in service — if you want the widest selection, book an earlier sitting. Also, the team are happy to tweak the ambience on request (they’ll lower background music if you’d like a quieter table).
