Café G shines with its delightful food offerings, particularly the renowned shakshuka and hearty brunch options. Diners appreciate the large portions and friendly atmosphere, complemented by a pleasant outdoor setting. However, the experience can be marred by inconsistent service and occasional kitchen missteps, with some dishes falling short of expectations. Despite these hiccups, the café remains a favored spot, especially for families and casual meals, thanks to its welcoming staff and diverse menu that includes comforting snacks and vegan choices. Overall, Café G is a charming destination worth a visit for both locals and visitors alike.

We walked into Margate up to the centre of town. It was very hot so we walked down to the harbour area and found a table outside on the piazza area . We were served very quick by a young man who was very polite and well dressed . We ordered our panini and coke and considering it was quite busy the service was very quick. Price wise it is in keeping with other eateries in the area .,

Nice, friendly cafe offering a wide selection of food and drink, all reasonably priced for us Northerners. Definitely worth a visit.

Made our day. We’d taken a party of 12 blind and disabled people to the seaside and were refused access to Wetherspoons because we had a dog. We’re very relieved to find a warm welcome at Cafe G. The young man who served us was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. He moved tables and chairs so we could all sit together on the terrace. He helped us order separately and was really patient. The food was delicious. I had a crispy oven backed jacket potato and the baguettes went down well. The dog loved the ice cream. We were very pleased indeed with both the food and the service.

I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. The owner is very lovely and the food is delicious. Be sure to try their coffee, it's a must! The menu is clearly labeled and the staff are very accommodating. Just like most places nowadays, make sure to bring a coat as it can be chilly inside the café.

I enjoyed a pleasant lunch with a friend at this restaurant. The total bill for both of us was approximately £20, which was very reasonable. The owner was welcoming and hospitable. Vegan dishes were clearly marked on the menu. The food, while a bit basic and lacking in vibrant colors (heavy on carbs), was delicious and satisfying. I would recommend a visit to this place.
