Description

Zizzi, an Italian restaurant chain, opened its first branch in Chiswick, London in 1999 and now has over 100 locations. Each branch boasts a contemporary design featuring wood-fired ovens, open kitchens, and locally influenced art. The menu offers a variety of traditional Italian dishes including salads, antipasti, pasta, pizza, calzone, risotto, fish, meat mains, and desserts. Zizzi prides itself on sourcing good quality ingredients such as white balsamic vinegar from Modena and Goddess Olives. The wine list is dominated by Italian wines starting at £13.45 for a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Located in the heart of London's theatreland on The Strand, this branch is appropriately decorated with theatre imagery.

This restaurant was perfect for me and my daughter before we went to see Waitress, which was conveniently just across the road. Our meal was delicious and it was a great way to kick off our evening. The server was attentive even though the restaurant was busy. I would definitely recommend it.

The service was excellent, Peter took great care of us. The vegan options were also fantastic.

Arrived at a very busy John’s cafe for breakfast. We were (5 of us) shown to a table quickly and our order was taken. Despite being busy our breakfast arrived quickly and the quality was great. Will definitely visit this place again. If you haven’t tried this place, give it a go. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you John’s

I am a local and have used this cafe regularly over the years, but not any more from today. I ordered a small vegetarian breakfast, which was poor value for money and not very nice. This is not however the reason for this post. Whilst waiting for my order it was suggested that I had ordered earlier in the week and left without paying. Interesting as the day in question I was actually in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The conversation was held quite loudly in front of a lot of other customers. Needless to say I was embarrassed and humiliated. If I hadn 't already paid for my coffee and breakfast, which incidentally you do on ordering at the counter, I would have left. The apology was less than acceptable 'case of mistaken identity as you have purple hair and ordered the same thing '. Sorry not sorry but I am never coming here again.
